Stefan Pavić is a documentary photographer and videographer from Serbia. He started his professional carrier in a multi-language news portal called FAR in 2018. Since then, he has worked on various different projects about the Bulgarian minority in Serbia and the region, historical and cultural documentary series and movies, as well as reportages. He has worked for different NGOs, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, BIRN Serbia, Serbian National Television, Bulgarian News Agency, and the Bulgarian Consulate in Serbia.
His personal work is focused on long-term documentary projects exploring his community and the interactions within it, as well as the connections between places, landscapes, and people. Through a deep and intimate engagement with his subjects, Stefan produces work that is poetic, vivid, and impactful.
His work is a part of private collections and book covers. Stefan exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions in Serbia and abroad. His list of awards includes Award for the best movie „Big Hearts in small people“at the International Movie Festival „Arlekin“ in Varna, Bulgaria. In 2019 he received third place in a photo contest organized by the Museum of Ponišavlje in the city of Pirot. Stefan was among the finalists of the 24th National Competition „Press Photo Serbia 2022“ for the best photos in local media. He won the first award for the Best Local Project at a Belgrade Photo Month Festival.
Stefan participated in different photo and video seminars including BBC school for Video Journalism, Foundry Photojournalism 2021 workshop organised by VII Academy and Photowings, and he is part of the third generation of students of the Sarajevo Seminar for Documentary and Narrative Practice.
