The so called “Balkan route”, was one of many used by migrants from the Middle East to reach Europe.

In their quest for a better life, these people encountered various obstacles during the voyage. Coming from war ravaged countries or from countries with a poor living conditions, they were united in one goal – to reach one of highly developed Western European Countries and try to find a job and better life..

Unfortunately, those EU countries were not ready to accept them all. There will be so many of them who will become lost and disappointed after the realization that after so many kilometers and so much trouble they issued during the long pilgrimage, they will not reach their dreams. These people can easily become dangerous, because at the end they have nothing to lose…

“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” was a sentence I have heard so many times from them during my coverage of this situation in last couple of years…
