2014, Glavica, Serbia. Traditional festivity marking the end of white week and the beginning of fasting period takes place each year acoordingly to the church calendar. This tradition is over hundred years old in the area, and it is held throughout Balkans, matching the global carnival season. Masked participants walk around the village, followed by music and joy, collecting eggs and other goods from the hosts of the village houses. Not needed to emphasise that this celebration, as all the others in this part of the world, can not pass without rakia and food in huge quantities.
